Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Obsidian Room platform (obsidianroom.ca), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 21 years of age to apply for membership. By applying, you confirm that you are of legal age and that all information you provide is accurate. All members are required to complete identity verification before gaining access to the community.

3. Membership

Membership is by application and admin approval only. We reserve the right to decline any application or revoke any membership at our sole discretion.

• · Free membership is activated upon admin approval.
• · Paid membership is billed monthly via Stripe and may be cancelled at any time.
• · No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.
• · Membership is personal and non-transferable.

4. Community Standards

All members are expected to conduct themselves with discretion and respect. The following are strictly prohibited:

• · Sharing another member's real identity, photos, or personal information outside the platform.
• · Harassment, threats, or non-consensual contact of any kind.
• · Uploading content depicting minors, non-consensual activity, or illegal acts.
• · Creating fake profiles or misrepresenting your identity.
• · Soliciting money, goods, or services from other members.
• · Attempting to circumvent platform security or access controls.

Violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent ban without refund.

5. Content

You retain ownership of content you upload. By uploading content, you grant Obsidian Room a limited licence to store and display it within the platform. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for any external purpose. You are solely responsible for ensuring that content you upload does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.

6. Events & Tickets

• · All ticket sales are final. No refunds or transfers for any reason.
• · Event details including exact location are shared with ticket holders only.
• · Single male tickets are subject to a lottery system. Lottery results are final.
• · We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule events. In the event of cancellation, refunds will be issued.

7. Referral Program

Members may earn referral rewards when someone they refer upgrades to a paid membership and completes one full billing cycle. Rewards are issued as free membership months and have no cash value. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the referral program at any time.

8. Safety & Content Review

Obsidian Room is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful community. To support this:

• · Members may report other members for harassment, fake profiles, inappropriate content, or other concerns using the Report function available on profiles and in messages.
• · All reports are reviewed by Obsidian Room administrators.
• · In connection with a report or safety investigation, administrators may access any member content, including private photos, albums, and message threads. All such access is logged with a timestamp and linked to the associated report.
• · By creating an account, you consent to this review process as part of our community safety commitment.
• · Members found to have violated community standards may be warned, suspended, or permanently banned.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we are not responsible for the conduct of members on or off the platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Obsidian Room shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or attendance at events.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
